Alexander Seitel is a computer scientist currently working as a group lead and deputy head in the division and holds a Doctorate in Medical Informatics from the University of Heidelberg. His research focuses on computer-assisted interventions and novel imaging methodologies aiming to improve interventional healthcare. In this area, he conducted various international projects at DKFZ, during his two-year postdoctoral fellowship at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada, and as a visiting scientist at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Cambridge, MA.
